Materials and methods: We retrospectively searched our surgical database from January 1994 through December 2008 for cases of pathologically proven ACC of the breast. Of approximately 15,000 breast biopsies, 11,250 were malignant. Background: Adenoid cystic carcinoma (ACC) is an aggressive salivary gland malignancy without effective systemic therapies. Delineation of molecular profiles in ACC has led to an increased number of biomarker-stratified clinical trials; however, the clinical utility and U.S.-centric financial sustainability of integrated next-generation sequencing (NGS) in routine practice has, to our Adenoid cystic carcinoma (ACC) is the most common malignant tumor of the minor salivary glands. The sinonasal tract is a common site of ACC occurrence, second only to the oral cavity. Of all cases of sinonasal ACC, a minority (22 to 35%) arise in the nasal cavity. Three histologic patterns of ACC ha … Adenoid cystic carcinoma of the breast is a rare neoplasm that represents <1% of breast carcinomas.

What are adenoid cystic carcinomas?. PCACC is part of a group of tumours called adenoid cystic carcinomas. They share similar features under the microscope (see pathology of adenoid cystic carcinoma) but have distinct differences in clinical behaviour and prognosis.

Adenoid basal and adenoid cystic carcinomas of the cervix are uncommon and differ from each other in their histology, treatment, and prognosis. Whereas adenoid basal carcinoma is a slow-growing, locally invasive lesion amenable to simply hysterectomy, adenoid cystic carcinoma is an aggressive tumor associated with regional lymph node involvement and late pulmonary metastases.

PURPOSE: To evaluate the outcomes among patients with adenoid cystic carcinoma of the lacrimal gland treated at various stages of their disease at a tertiary care cancer center. METHODS: A retrospective case series of 20 patients with adenoid cystic carcinoma of the lacrimal gland treated at a single institution between 1952 and 2002. Thymic carcinoma with adenoid cystic carcinoma-like features (TCACC) is an extremely rare subtype of thymic adenocarcinoma, and this condition was first reported by Di Tommaso et al in 2007.
